NECO Result 2021 is Out! The National Examinations Council (also known as NECO) is an examination body in Nigeria that conducts the Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE) in April, Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in June/July and the General Certificate in Education (GCE) in December/January. This council has announced the entire official timetable and neco result 2021 dates recently.

NECO Result 2021 Release Date

National Examinations Council, Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE) exam was supposed to be held on 27th April to 12th May 2021. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, the exam has been postponed indefinitely.

The NECO Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) is currently ongoing. This exam will end on 10th July 2021. The neco result 2021 for SSCE will be published after a couple of months. The NECO GCE will start in December 2020.

The National Examinations Council Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) (June July) exam will start on 28th May and end on 10th July 2021. Students in their senior year of Secondary School will appear in this exam. From the 8th of June, all the core subjects’ exams will start and they will finally end on 10th July.

According to NECO acting registrar, Abubakar Gana while announcing the release of the results at the council headquarters in Minna, Niger State, hee said 71 per cent of the candidates obtained five credits including English and mathematics.

He said 829,787 candidates, representing 71.5 per cent, made five credits and above, including in English and Mathematics.

Mr Gana said 40,630 representing 3.53 per cent of the candidates were involved in various forms of malpractice as against 20,181 cases recorded in 2019, representing an increase of over 50 per cent.

He said the rise in the number of malpractice cases in 2021 was not unconnected with the deployment of the new biometric verification device used in the 2021 SSCE.
