WAEC timetable for 2023/2024 West African Examination Council Exam Routine

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has already published the timetable for WAEC GCE. This year’s exam schedule is officially out stating that the exam will start from 27th July 2023 to 30th September 2023. Many students have been eagerly waiting for the waec timetable for 2023, now that it is out, they can prepare themselves accordingly. Earlier the SSCE was held from 30th March to 12th June.

What is WAEC (West African Examination Council) and WAEC timetable for 2024

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) conducts 2 exams every year. The first one is the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school candidates. WASSCE is held in May or June. The second one is known as General Certificate Examination (GCE) or WAEC GCE, WASSCE is held in autumn. The waec timetable for 2020 is already out by the authority. The main difference between these two exams is that the first one is for school candidates. The second one is for private candidates.

Timetable for WAEC 2024

The Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school candidates already took place from 30th March to 12th June. The core subject exam was held from 6th April 2024 and ended on 5th June 2024. The second phase for private candidates will be held from Monday, 27th July 2024 to Wednesday, 30th September 2024.

The pre-registration for this exam is already closed. The private students who are willing to appear in the exam registered their names and other official works from Monday, 10th February 2024 to Sunday, 31st May 2024.

The principal subjects as Integrated Science will be taken on Saturday, 29th August 2024 followed by Oral English on September fourth and Core Mathematics on the fifth of September separately.

When is WAEC 2023 starting?

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates, 2023/2024, indicates that the WAEC exams starts on Monday 8th May, 2023 and will end on Friday 23rd June, 2023 (For Nigerian Students). English Language will hold on a date to be announced while General Mathematics will hold on a date to be announced.

All candidates are enjoin to start preparing immediately for the exam.

Timetable for Senior School Certificate Examination (SSEC) 2020

For the current year, secondary students, who were registered under any school, already appeared in their WAEC exam. So the first phase waec timetable for 2020 is already done. It is compulsory for these students to wear their respective school uniforms during the exam. For the Second phase private students, it is not compulsory.

In the later march 2020, the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSEC) started with the optional subjects. From 30th March to 2nd April project work for Basketry 3, ceramics 3, graphic design 3, jewelry making 3, leather work3, picture making 3, textile and sculpture 3 were taken.

On Monday 6th April, metalwork 3 and food, nutrition 3 practical was taken. Also from 6th march to 5th June-in span of 2 months all the main subjects’ theory and practical exam took place. These subjects are English Language, Mathematics, At least one Nigerian Language, Science/commerce core, Literature in English, History/Geography, and Agricultural Science. 12th June the exam ended with an ICT exam.

Final Thought

The waec timetable for 2020 finally in hand, students from the five West African nations are working their level best to score their desired result. After all, this is an academic milestone. They are already done with their pre-registration. The next step is to give their best in the exam.
