NECO GCE Registration Form 2024 (Full Instructions and Guidelines)

NECO refers to the National Examination Council, which is an examination body in Nigeria. It conducts the General Certificate Examination, which is also known as GCE in the month of November/December. To get enrolled for the exams, the first thing that needed to be done is to fill up the NECO GCE registration form. This is because the information has to be provided anyway.

NECO GCE Registration Form

This general certificate examination or GCE is a subject-specific family of some academic qualifications. It usually comprises of three levels, which are in ascending order of difficulty. The levels include the ordinary level, the advanced subsidiary level, and the advanced level.

As NECO holds all the authority regarding GCE you have to register for GCE only through NECO. You can complete the registration both online and offline. No matter in which way the registration is being done, the registration form must be filled up. Without this, no one can proceed.

The data input is typically done throughout three steps that include providing information for biodata, choosing subjects, and biometric information uploading. And the fourth and final step is to upload the data.

The registration process, fee, and medium

However, the date of NECO registration 2024 has been announced and you can thus register to any school of your choice. But it has to be accredited.

This year the NECO GCE registration form will cost you nine thousand, eight hundred and fifty naira (N 9850), following the JAMB UTME form price reduction and NECO form price reduction in 2018. And this fee is nonrefundable.

However, being it an internal NECO exam, you cannot register by yourself for NECO 2024 exam. The registration must be done through an accredited secondary school. Thus, you can pay the NECO registration fee through the school management or via bank draft. You can make the payment at any NECO office, or banks or any Nipost offices worldwide.

The registration fee will cover a CD with exam ethnics, the expense for biometric data as well as capture, and the administrative charges.

How To Apply For NECO GCE 2024

On-line Registration: Registration will as usual, be on-line using the NECO registration website www.mynecoexams.com Candidates are to note that:

  • Biometric Fingerprints Will Be Captured During The Registration.
  • Their Fingerprints Are Captured Correctly During Registration.
  • Those With Mismatched Fingerprints At The Point Of Verification Will Not Be Allowed To Sit For The Examination.

Passport Photographs of candidates will also be required during on-line registration. The passport photograph should NOT be more than six months old and must be of white background.

Registration Pin:

The Registration Pin will be purchased online through the NECO website.

Attestation Cards/Photo Album:

Each candidate is expected to download ONE (1) clear copy of the Attestation Card from the cyber cafe where he/she registers.

Please note that: Candidates Are No Longer Required To Stamp Or Submit Their Attestation/Photo Cards In Neco State Offices.A Clear Copy Of The Dowloaded Attest Ation/Photo Card, Duly Signed And Stamped By An Eligible Referee Should Be Presented During The Examination.

Blind Candidates:

Blind candidates are to register like everyone. However, they are to inform the NECO State Officer of the State where they intend to write the Examination, immediately after they register. A copy of each blind candidate’s Attestation Card should be collected by the State Officer for further action.

Blind Candidates and Albinos:

Please note that the Albinos and Blind Candidates are to be given 30 minutes extra time across all papers.

Centre Coordinators:

Principal of schools that are to be used as centres for this Examination will as usual, be appointed as Coordinators. Please, liaise with them to ensure that they give the necessary support for the successful conduct of the Examination.
